Equestrians' Institute or E.I. for short, is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. You can read our entire bylaws here, but here in brief is section 3 on the purpose of E.I.:
Section 3. Purpose
The purpose of this Corporation is to promote and foster an interest in and an appreciation of horsemanship; to develop an appreciation of the contribution of horses to the American scene; to promote educational and competitive programs in the proper use and maintenance of horses; to promote Combined Training, Combined Driving, and the art of Dressage.
E.I. is by Equestrians for Equestrians
Everything E.I. does is a result of volunteers who spend their valuable free time to give others opportunities to learn and enjoy our common equestrian passion. If there is something that E.I. is not doing well or not at all within our purpose, we ask you to join us to make the improvement.
Signing Up with E.I.
Please go here for details on signing up with E.I. to enjoy the membership benefits. There are two main types of membership, regular and business. The section below outlines the differences. In addition E.I. may offer opportunities for sponsors in connection with events.
Regular E.I. Membership Benefits
1. Receive reduced rates to local clinics, E.I. sponsored shows and educational seminars (such as Seminars and Freestyle Clinics).
2. Easy access to our expanded website! Sell your horse, get your ride times, check out information about upcoming events in all disciplines, find out how to become more involved, post your favorite pictures, get your test results, download forms for shows or membership, link to your website as a business member…and more!
3. Your annual membership includes a full twelve-month subscription to Flying Changes. Join soon and don’t miss more issues! Enjoy Equestrians’ Institute and news and event information.
4. Automatically become a group member of USDF (United States Dressage Federation). You will receive USDF’s monthly publication, Connection. (Membership with USDF is required for the Horse of the Year Awards and participation in programs such as Certification.)
5. AWARDS! - You will be eligible to participate in E.I.’s great Year-end Rider Awards program.
6. Support your local equestrians! E.I. is your key to continued venues for equine sports in the Puget Sound area. We are an all-volunteer organization and your membership dues provide support for the following:

FREE Business Member Display advertising on the E.I. website:
As a business member, you will have expanded coverage for your profile page in our website complete with photos of your products, services, farms, etc. You may submit timely advertising of special promotions and we will link directly to your website if requested. With a database of approximately 400+ members, the E.I. website is a terrific vehicle for reaching your market.
FREE ¼ page ad (business card size) in the E.I. membership directory.
DISCOUNTS off advertising in the following Equestrians’ Institute publications – Omnibus, Champagne Classic and Beaujolais Programs (all advertising copy must be camera ready).

Sponsorship Opportunities
1) Equestrians' Institute offers complimentary mention on the web-site for E.I. sponsors in consideration of goods, services or donations to E.I. in excess value of a regular business membership. Such donations entitle the donor to have the name of the person or business cited with contact information such as web site and e-mail on the E.I. web-site in the sponsorship section for the calendar year in which the donation was received.
2) Equestrians' Institute offers complimentary mention of sponsors of specific events on E.I. web pages serving such events for one calendar year. Such mention can include the name of the person or business cited with contact information such as web site and e-mail.
