EI's Newest Division
The EI Sport Horse Breeding Division strives to support the efforts of local horse breeders. Everyone benefits from a thriving collaboration between breeders, trainers, riders, and farm owners.

The E.I. Sporthorse division is excited to host the 2016 Sporthorse Breeders Classic & Great American Insurance Group/USDF Northwest Breeders Championships. This is two separate shows with the Championships starting Sunday afternoon. August 27-28 2016

Saturday August 27: Sporthorse Breeders Classic I

This is the first show in a series of two that will have our Materiale, DSHB, and IBC  (Individual Breed Class) Classes. Scores earned here will go toward your eligibility in the Great American Insurance Group/ USDF NW Regional Finals on Sunday.

Sunday August 28: Sporthorse Breeders Classic II

This is our final show in the series. Materiale and DSHB classes will continue in this separate show. Scores earned here will also go toward your eligibility in the Regional Finals which are held later that afternoon.

Sunday August 28: Great American Insurance Group/ USDF Breeders Championship

The Great American Insurance Group/ USDF Breeders Championship will start Sunday afternoon after the conclusion of the Sporthorse Breeders Classic II classes. All horses who have qualified for championships this weekend in either of the 2 shows, or at a previous show in our region are welcome back to participate in these classes.  This show is THE ONLY REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP BREED SHOW to attend to be eligible for USDF DSHB year end awards. 

DSHB Championship Qualifications
To qualify for the Great American Insurance Group/ USDF NW Breeders Championships all Champions and Reserve Champions from the Sporthorse Breeders Series Qualifier classes, or other regional qualifiers will be eligible to compete in the Finals. In the event that a champion or reserve champion has already qualified for the final, the 3rd placed horse in that class will be eligible to compete in the final. In addition, any other horse receiving a 77% or better in its DSHB prospect or breeding stock class will be qualified and eligible to compete in the final.

NEW! Materiale Championship Qualifications:
New for 2016: Great American Insurance Group/USDF Materiale Championships! Two Championship classes, one for 3-Year-Olds and one for 4- and 5-Year-Olds.  

Horses already qualified are listed on the USDF website. (http://www.usdf.org/competitions/competitions-championships/sporthorse/qualifiedhorses_materiale.asp)  Horses not yet qualified must earn a score of 72% or higher in a Materiale class at any USEF/USDF recognized show. The rider in the qualifier and in the championship do not have to be the same person, but both must be USDF Participating Members at the time of their respective rides. See pp. 14-15 of the prize list for complete qualification requirements earn a score of 72% or higher and conduct of the Materiale Championships.

Calling all Volunteers !!!!
Our shows cannot run without the loyal support of our dedicated volunteers. Are you interested in supporting us or might know of someone who is. This is a really fun show to work at as all positions are in the show arena. Meaning you will have the opportunity to watch all the classes and be fully involved with all the competitors. No need to be stuck at the back warm up ring or closed in a room all day! Seeking fun outgoing personalities who want to watch adorable horses run all day. No experience required. We have open positions for:
